St. John: Cruz Bay and Trunk Bay from the St. Thomas cruise port
Taxi to Red Hook, then a short ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John, two-thirds of which is a national park. Trunk Bay has an underwater snorkel trail and a park entrance fee. A long day: many guests book an organised trip so the return is guaranteed.
How much time do you need?
Plan 6 hours for the whole trip, travel from and back to the ship included. Add a safety margin of about an hour and a half before your ship leaves: you want a port stop of at least 7.5 hours to do this without stress. Your ship's all-aboard time is what counts.
